WAEC MAKES CONSULTATIONS OVER POSSIBLE RESCHEDULING OF EXAMS

The West African Examination Council (WAEC), the body responsible for organising the West African Senior Secondary Schools Certificate Examinations (WASSCE) is said to be making consultations in relation to a purported rescheduling of the 2020 WASSCE which has been rescheduled because of the ravaging Corona Virus.

The federal government of Nigeria through the Minister of State for Education, Chukwuemeka Nwajiuba, says it does not have confidence yet to proceed with the re-opening of school in view of the increasing number of COVID-19 infections.

The Minister said this while responding to questions from journalist after the eighth virtual Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting chaired by President Muhammadu Buhari.
