UNIMAID STUDENTS DEFY HARSH WEATHER

Despite the harsh and unfavorable weather conditions, studious Unimaidites leave classes to read under trees and street lights. UnimaidGist on a tour met some students who sprayed mats under the street lights and trees to study ahead of the examinations.

It has been reported recently of the consistent and extremely hot weather conditions around Maiduguri and environs with temperature ranging between 39-42°C daily. This has made the classes extremely hot even with the fans and students are not deterred, they don’t mind spending the length of the night outside to make sure they do well in their examination.

One of the students who spoke to Unimaidgist (a final year student) said this will be his first experience of ‘Paper and pen’ examination since he left secondary school 5years ago, he further states that he is determined to succeed be it Paper and pen or Electronic Exams and the weather will not hold him back.
