The University of Maiduguri Distance Learning Center requirements
- In order to be admitted to a Bachelor Degree in any of the Faculties, a prospective
student must satisfy the Minimum University Entrance Requirement (and where
applicable, the additional faculty requirements as provided in the regulations governing
admission) detailed by Joint Admission and Matriculation Board.
- Follow an approved course of study for a prescribed period; Pass the required examinations set out in thee detailed degree regulations of the various Faculties; payall prescribed fees.
- And comply with such other regulations and requirement as may be prescribed. Minimum age of 16years on 1st October of the year of admission. General requirements for entry course in the School Certificate or General Certificate of Education (SSCE) or (GCE) of (NECO) with Credits in at least five (5) Ordinary Level subjects obtained at not more than two sitting (subject to University requirements).
- General requirements for entry to one-year remedial programme, minimum of ordinary level credits in the relevant subjects including English and Mathematics. Remedial courses are restricted to student from catchment areas. Direct Entry requirement leading to honors degree is “A” Level passes with SSCE/GCE Ordinary Level Credit passes in the required subjects at not more than two sittings. NCE Candidates are required to posses two passes in two major subject and five “O” Level credit passes in the relevant subjects.
