UNIJOS SUSPEND EXAMS OVER CRISIS

Authorities of the University of Jos on Sunday suspended the ongoing examinations following some threats to life and property around the University campus.

The area where the university is located is a security flashpoint. Though no official explanation was given for the suspension of the examinations, sources say it is to avoid the violence from flowing into the campus.

Jos North Local Government Area, the hotspot of the crisis remains under lockdown as a 24 hours curfew was imposed on Sunday morning by the state government.
