NAASUM DISTRIBUTES FARM EQUIPMENTS TO STUDENTS AND PROMISES SUSTAINABLE SOLUTION TO ISSUES

NAASUM DISTRIBUTES FARM EQUIPMENTS, SYMPATHIZES WITH STUDENTS, AND PROMISES A SUSTAINABLE SOLUTION TO ISSUES.

The National Association of Agriculture Students has distributed some farm equipments to the Faculty of Agriculture Students on Friday 29th November, 2019. The distribution was done in cooperation of the Sub Dean Faculty of Agriculture, Dr Abubakar Usman, the father of the farm, Mal. A. Gupa, the farm managers and some lecturers among others. Among the farm equipments distributed are buckets, watering cans and hoes.

Students in the farm area have lamented the scarcity of water that they have been facing for weeks, which happens has called the attention of the faculty management and that of NAASUM. And it was another critical reason why the sub dean visited the farm to see the condition of the students and to provide a sustainable solution to these problems.

“The Faculty of Agriculture will make sure a lasting solution has been provided to ease the longtime suffering”. In his speech, the sub Dean noted that a committee has been inaugurated by the university management on the revitalisation and standardisation of the farm. Moreover, he expressed his sadness over the situation of water scarcity in the farm while at the same time has also sympathized with the students.

The father of the farm addressed students on how to make use of the equipments and has also warned the students not to take any of the equipments outside the farmland premises.

Lastly, The Faculty Sub Dean together with the father of the farm alongside with some lecturers have appreciated the effort of NAASUM for distributing such important equipments at a time which the students are in need of it.

The NAASUM President Iliya Makinta who was ably represented by his vice president together with the Secretary General Haruna Abdullahi, and other executive members of the association has also sympathize with the students and their children on the farm for the hypocritical condition that they have been facing, and at the same time promised to provide a sustainable solution to the issues.
