The National Association of Faculty of Social Science Students (NAFASS) made a press release refuting late registration and the payment of GIST earlier published on UnimaidGist.

His press statement reads:

Office of the Press Secretary

Payment saga

In line with the messages circulating on various departmental and faculty social media platforms regarding GST payment and late registration, some anonymous reliable sources from the University Computer Center (UCC) denied the messages circulated as it did not originate from them.

The sender of the messages who credited the Director ICT to be his/her source mentioned that Part three and above are not to pay for GST while registering except those carrying over other GST courses.

This allegations was as well denied by the SUG President; Abdulrahman Zanna Sunoma who made clarifications that any student carrying over GST courses or taking GST course(s) is to pay the sum of N1000 by generating a Remita and proceeding with the payment.

The claims that additional N5000 will be added to whatever you are paying as late registration from Tuesday 26th November was as well denied by more than five staff of the University Computer Center. They said the university is yet announce the date for late registration as the university is even yet to release her supplementary admission list and as such, payment continues as it was.

They all urged students to disregard any message not coming from the university management, they all shall be notified of any development through a circular as always.”

Professor Gutti made it clear that he don’t know the source of NAFASS publication.

The press release is uninformed aimed at misguiding students. We urge all Unimaidites to disregard the information and proceed to pay their fees to avert late registration
