Following the official announcement for resumption of camping activities for National Youth Service Corps, the Federal Government through the Presidential Task Force on Covid-19 has ordered compulsory COVID-19 tests for all prospective corps members.
The Federal Government earlier today announced the reopening of all National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) orientation camps from November 10, 2020. NYSC Orientation camps have been shut since March to checkmate spread of the novel coronavirus pandemic.
The National Coordinator of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, Sani Aliyu, made this announcement this during a briefing in Abuja on Thursday.
He said: “We have developed guidelines with the NCDC (Nigeria Centre for Disease Control) and the NYSC in the preparation for the reopening of the orientation camps on the 10th of November, 2020.
“The PTF has also arranged additional safeguards to include the testing of all corpers and staff in the camps for COVID-19 tests prior to commencement of the orientation programmes.”
